Metrological traceability
Radiometer manufactures QC material of high quality based on internationally recognised methods and in most cases our QC material is traceable to certified reference materials from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Aqueous solutions
All QC material for Radiometer analysers is based on aqueous solutions that are user-friendly and remain stable during storage, securing that trends in analyser performance are tracked.
To ensure proper handling of external QC material Radiometer provides QC transfer devices especially developed for Radiometer analysers and QC material and offers user training by highly skilled Radiometer professionals.
Optimised control ranges
The result of a QC measurement is influenced by a number of sources of uncertainty. To design an effective QC material it is important to employ a method that is based on in-depth knowledge of both the QC material and the analyser for which the QC material is designed.
It requires a detailed knowledge of all significant uncertainty contributors to establish effective insert control ranges that are so narrow that poorly performing analysers are detected and at the same time sufficiently broad to avoid false rejection of well-functioning analysers.
A statistical approach is applied to determine the optimal insert control ranges for each of our analysers in order for the QC material to be effective and useful in terms of evaluating the accuracy and precision of the analyser.
