1st Automatic empowers healthcare providers to streamline blood gas workflows at the bedside. By enabling you to link operator, patient, and sample IDs before drawing blood, you minimise manual steps and can spend more time with patients.

1st Automatic is a unique solution combining ABL blood gas analysers, pre-barcoded safePICO syringes and AQURE FLEXLINK, a sample flow management system.

Through simplifying your workflow, we’ll help you prioritise patient care, without compromising sample integrity.

Optimise your blood gas workflow with 1st Automatic

ABL blood gas analysers

With automatic mixing, sample mixing is standardised, removing operator-related variables.

safePICO syringes

In addition to expelling air bubbles, safePICO's vented safeTIPCAP helps to reduce the risk of contact with patient blood.

AQURE FLEXLINK

Combined with pre-barcoded syringes, FLEXLINK ensures correct patient-sample identification every time.

1st Automatic

Combines pre-barcoded safePICO syringes, ABL analysers and AQURE FLEXLINK; automating your blood gas workflow and reducing the risk of patient-sample mix-up.

Simple and intuitive

Preparing to take a blood gas sample

Begin by scanning your personal ID. In sequence, scan the patient's ID and then, the pre-barcoded safePICO syringe. These data are now linked together and your patient’s demographics are displayed on the AQURE FLEXLINK screen.

Analysing the sample

Scan the barcode on the safePICO syringe to confirm your patient’s data are displayed on the screen. Place the sample in the inbuilt safePICO mixer for standardised automatic mixing. Next, aspirate the syringe using the auto-inlet without removing the vented safeTIPCAP.

Tracking patients' results

Once the analysis is complete, AQURE's FLEXLINK will send results to the bedside and/or your hospital's LIS/HIS. This means you’ll have the right results, for the right patient, when and where you need them.

Focus on what's important: maximise time for patient care
